Woman charged with filing false police report
A Bluefield woman, Nannette Hearn, 316 Park St, was charged with filing a false police report after her car, a 1992 Mitsubishi Mirage, vanished with wheels, tires, and radio and was later recovered. Police say she admitted fabricating the theft while under the influence of cocaine.

Man who sold beer loses license for teen party
Charleston AP report says North Pole Ice Co owner Andrew Viglianco surrendered his beer license for a year after a hearing found the firm illegally sold 14 kegs of 15 percent beer to a sixteen year old for George Washington High School senior skip day. Two students, David Means 18 and Lydell Brooks 16, were shot dead in an argument over beer cost.

Georgia woman held on charges of exploiting children
A 41 year old Georgia woman was arrested by Bluefield police on charges of sexually exploiting children. Officer Hensley said the suspect is white and unnamed due to the victims involved. She was arraigned before a magistrate and released on bond pending extradition.
