Midtown Manhattan Radio Center Planned

Plans for a 250 million theatrical and radio complex in midtown Manhattan were announced by John R. Todd for John D. Rockefeller Jr. and by the Radio Corporation of America. The project covers three blocks between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and 48th to 51st Streets, with four theaters twenty seven studios and a sixty story office building included in the development.

Fire in Morgantown business district confines to one building

Firefighters in Morgantown West Virginia battled a blaze in the business district tonight. The fire began on the second floor of a block owned by Louis Melnicoffé and for a time threatened to spread. Homer Zearly, a fireman, was injured.损 The loss was estimated between 6000 and 8000 dollars and the origin remained undetermined.

Second Victim Of Desert Tragedy Identified In Cadiz

Cadiz California reports Salvadore Morenas aged 34 was found dead near a desert railway station nine miles from here. A coroner's jury found he died of thirst and exhaustion, burial beside his mother who was found yesterday in a small automobile.

Schall Leads in Minnesota Republican Primary

Senator Thomas D. Schall leads in Minnesota Republican primary returns from 202 counties, 202 precincts reporting. Schall has 16,497 votes to Governor Theodore Christianson’s 11,502, with John F. Selb at 1,762. total vote forecast around 400,000.

Maine Senate Race Narrow as Returns Come In

Representative Wallace H. White Jr and former Governor Ralph C. Brewster traded the lead in the Maine Republican primary for the U.S. Senate as returns showed White with a slim margin of about 3,000 votes with two thirds of the state counted. Governor William Tudor Gardiner led John Wilson by nearly 12,000 and was assured of renomination. Dugald B. Dewar, Maine’s first “wet” candidate in six years, also appeared in the returns.

Interurban Crash Kills Five Near Norman Oklahoma

Five people are dead and three critically injured when an interurban car collided with a car at a grade crossing north of Norman Oklahoma. Trials set for three in nurse Mary Ferrell death
