Lee And Jackson To Ride In Tazewell Sesquicentennial Parade
The Tazewell county sesquicentennial parade on June 26 will feature reenactors Buford C. Tynes and Robert S. Graham as Generals Lee and Jackson. The piece notes Tynes is a Huntington attorney and state senator, son of Major Achilles J. Tynes, while Graham is the Norton attorney with ties to Judge Samuel C. Graham of Tazewell. The report also recalls local Civil War service by their forebears and recounts a separate incident in which a mayor was humorously briefed in a mock kangaroo court.
