Aaron and Goalby Tie For Buick Open Lead At Halfway

Bob Goalby and Tommy Aaron shared the Buick Open midway lead with 36-hole totals of 142 in Grand Blanc Michigan. Kermit Zarley Terry Dill and Frank Beard trailed one shot back at 143. Goalby rebounded after a 73 with a 69 in round one. Aaron posted 72 and 70 aided by a 13 foot birdie at the final hole.

Tutwiler Leads Sunnehanna Amateur Opens With 65

Ed Tutwiler the former West Virginia amateur champion now based in Indianapolis fired five under par 65 to lead the Sunnehanna Amateur at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown Pennsylvania.
