Bluefield Wins 1 Million for Midway Sewer Upgrade and Downtown Demolition

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced 19 federal Community Development Block Grant awards totaling 13.73 million dollars to 14 counties, including Bluefield’s 1 million for the Midway Sewer Replacement Project serving 129 customers and 250 thousand for downtown demolition of the CWA and Bland Ferri buildings. The funds support water and sewer upgrades, broadband, and park improvements as Bluefield reinvents its downtown after coal job losses.
