Bluefield festival promises sun as carnival opens grand weekend
Bluefield hosts the Cole Chevy Mountain Festival with gates opening at 4 p.m. and a fireworks show Sunday night. Forecasters predict sunny to mostly sunny skies with highs near 71 to 75. The James H. Drew Carnival and Sea Lion Splash entertain midway visitors while Quiet Carnival attendance remains strong. Sponsors include Cole Chevy and local banks. A pickleball tourney was canceled for lack of entries.
