Graham and Church to be sentenced in July for obstructing bank examiners
Pierson said Graham acted as an assistant in the August disposal, noting records buried on Burke Mountain were selected by others involved in an obstruction conspiracy. Examiners testified they left the bank early that afternoon while the documents were buried at the Church residence. Church, senior vice president of the failed bank, was found guilty on three counts. The memorandum says Graham did not act with deliberate knowledge and would be sentenced July 17 in Bluefield.
