Last rites will be held at his Sand Lick Junction home at 12 20 today for 79 year old Shutt a well known retired Mercer county farmer who died yesterday morning from influenza complications Burial will be in a private Rock area cemetery He had lived all his life in Mercer county His wife died about a year ago He is survived by six children two brothers three sisters and many grandchildren Pallbearers include grandsons and granddaughters Honorary pallbearers are listed along with other local names

Local physician held blameless in fatal accident
Dr T E Vase of St Luke's hospital staff was cleared of manslaughter after a hearing before Magistrate W W McNeal.
