Joseph H. Padbury 74 longtime coalfield pioneer died Saturday at his daughter Mrs George K Norman home in Hagerstown Maryland after paralysis illness He was born in Shropshire England emigrated as a carpenter to the United States later worked for John Cooper and spent 27 years in Coal Dale West Virginia He belonged to Scottish and York rites Masons Survived by son Walter Padbury Richlands and daughter Mrs Norman Hagerstown Wife and two sons predeceased him Funeral at Coopers Church Monday at 2 PM with interment in Pocahontas Cemetery
