Ferguson mayor says Wilson receives no severance pay
Ferguson Mayor James Knowles said Darren Wilson did not receive a severance package after resigning effective immediately. Wilson, white and 28, had been on leave since the Aug 9 fatal shooting of Michael Brown, and the district does not plan leadership changes. Wilson’s lawyer cited threats and exit planning, while Brown family attorney Benjamin Crump urged accountability and noted civil litigation possibilities.
