Retired lawyer offers Whitten high school for use or gift

Dudley Gray, 70, former Whitten High graduate, bought the 72 year old brick high school three years ago for 2700 dollars and now will give it to any person or institution that can make good use of the building. He has not found a suitable taker and says only frauds have shown interest. Whitten, a small farming town 60 miles north of Des Moines, idle since the mid 1950s.

Family Night Picnic and Support Group Meetings in Princeton

On Thursday August 27 the Princeton Mercer County Chamber of Commerce hosts a Family Night Picnic at the Princeton City Pool with a pot luck format and the chamber providing hot dogs and hamburgers. Andrew strikes Florida with deadly force and inland damage

WV Poll Finds 82 Percent Expect Heaven statewide

The West Virginia Poll released Monday shows 82 percent of residents expect to go to heaven, with Eastern Panhandle residents at 97 percent and seniors at 90 percent. Women lead men in heavenly expectation at 85 to 79 percent, while 73 percent oppose doctors assisting patient death by own action and 21 percent support.
