Wednesday Personalities report McEntire edged Gill and Jackson with six nominations for the Music Association awards. Gill and Jackson each earned five. All three vie for entertainer of the year. McEntire is up for entertainer of the year and four other categories including female vocalist and several for Does He Love You. She also earns a nomination for Rhythm, Country Blues. Winners announced October 5 on CBS.

DUI with deaths case postponed in Summers County

Recycling funds awarded for Buchanan Dickenson Russell
The Cumberland Plateau Regional Waste Management Authority received a $25,000 Appalachian Regional Commission grant, to plan a three county recycling program in Buchanan Dickenson and Russell.
