Fifteen members and two visitors attended Calvary Baptist circles in Bluefield. Bonnie Rae circle, led by Mrs. C. G. Bass, met at Mrs. C. R. Grace McDowell Weds Samuel Bowen In Presbyterian Ceremony

Miss Grace Graybill McDowell and Mr. Samuel Cecil Bowen wed Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in a formal double ring ceremony led by Rev. Howard H. Gordon. Organist Charles Cassell and soloist Susan Burnett performed. guests and extended family attended a church reception before the couple left for a honeymoon and home at 107 Fourth Street.

Ceremony At Bland Unites Young Pair

Mr and Mrs Sandy F Childress of Bastian announce the marriage of their daughter Janice Rhae to Charles Albert Pennington son of Mr and Mrs Olin Bane of Wytheville. The ceremony July 29 in Bland with Rev O C Wright officiating. The bride wore navy and white with red rose corsage. Janice a Bland high school graduate and Charles a Wytheville high school alumnus, later served in the Navy and Army. He is employed by Wytheville Silk Hosiery Mills. Miss Dorothy Dilts Returns Home From Baltimore Trip

Miss Dorothy Dilts Bluefield Virginia and her niece Kitty Ann Shrader arrived from Baltimore where she accompanied home her brother Donald Dilts and Mrs Dilts who spent ten days on their honeymoon They were met by Kenneth Dilts and Mrs Dilts with their daughter Charlotte visiting at the Dilts home Mr and Mrs Wilbur Tibbs of Bluefield Virginia and children Nancy and Jack left for a week long trip visiting Logan Ohio Huntington and Williamsburg Ind to see relatives They will also visit Mrs H A Slagle in Columbus and Mrs Irene Bruce in Huntington Misses Mary and Bess Ritter of Tampa Florida arrived to spend the remainder of the summer with their sister Mrs C D Kahle West Graham at the family homestead

A household shower at Coaldale church Friday honored Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis who wed June 30. E. Davis led the devotional with Mrs. Davis at the piano. Speeches by Mrs. Brown mother of the groom and Mrs. Susie Brown aunt of the bride praised the couple as gifts were given. Refreshments followed with a social hour.

Church Classes At Jenkinsons Reorganized

Local Christian education board met at Jenkinsones and reorganized church school classes. Rev. Jessee announced Mrs. K. G. French as superintendent of the children's department with Mrs. E. P. Belcher as assistant. Classes of Mr Nolley and Mr. were merged.
