Perry Fletcher dies. Blue Island contractor and patriot
Perry Russel Fletcher 54 of 482 Maple Ave Blue Island died Wednesday after noon at St Francis hospital following an operation. A Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate and former city engineer he helped found the local Masons and Elks lodge and led Red Cross and Liberty Loan drives. Survived by wife Mabel and two sons Douglas and Loren. Funeral at 2 this afternoon with Masons in charge.

Libby Managers Tour Blue Island Plant Visit
Seventy five Libby McNeill Libby branch managers from across the United States visited Blue Island for a plant tour and banquet. John P. Young reported that the delegation met at the I C depot at 8 14 and arrived at the plant by nine. They toured the plant from top to bottom praising its sanitation and modernity. A 1 o clock dinner at the Masonic hall featured Libby products and was produced by Chas Haas Company. The visit concluded with a 6 45 adjournment and a return to Chicago.
