Linton Fair Postponed To Saturday Balloon Ascension
The Linton fair continues over Saturday due to bad weather. A large balloon ascension is planned that day and attendance is urged to help the fair association, which has Losses in recent years. Livestock, agricultural products, and fair displays are on the ground.

The Bloomfield fair offers events by veterans and comrades on the 18th with free admission courtesy of the fair association. The G A R Post 326 will form a program committee for the day. Also scheduled is a Reading Circle examination on September 14 1880 at the Bloomfield high school for teachers license applicants with details on accepted exams and state board requirements.
