Wincesses, Ind. March 4 Pat Conders pleaded guilty to assaulting Mrs George Weaver of Wheathill. He was sentenced to twenty one years in the penitentiary and hustled off to avoid a mob trying for three days to lynch him.
Arthur Laerson of London England received 5000 dollars from his parents. He has squandered the money and is now penniless and ill with the jim jams. He faces possible confinement in the local poor house to brace up or die.
Frank Walters, recently arrived from Franklin, D., was arrested in Wiscurstren on forgery charges. He allegedly forged signatures on notes for several amounts starting at $59. In Fort Wayne, the Fort Wayne Land and Improvement Co. offered a $25 premium for a park name. A. Z. Foster of Terre Haute won with the designation Lakeside.
Three railroad workers died in a Fort Wayne road wreck near Lakeville when an oil tank exploded on the eastbound freight and set cars ablaze. Engineer John Cowen and fireman Harvey Gatehouse and brakeman Mr. Miller were killed as the fourth section collided with the third. Eighteen cars burned, track scorched, and engine components melted. Cowen and Miller were residents of Alliance. Gatehouse was single with parents in Doylestown.

SUELBYVILLE Ind March 5 Charles Lemons a brakeman on the Big Four was crushed between freight cars at Fairland and mortally injured He resided in Indianapolis with his wife awaiting death from his injuries.
In Hunstington Indiana on a Sunday morning Col. C. E. Briant’s stock barn three miles east burned. The barn housed thirty five Polled Angust cattle. Loss amount listed at $5000 with $500 insured.
Franklin Indiana reports a Methodist revival with thirteen accessions. Edinburg’s Christian church revival closed with ninety eight accessions. In Winchester, Indiana C I Lewis and Company bankers made an assignment with Jesse Canada as assignee. Liabilities are unknown.

Reverend J W Spencer, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Boggstown and Tencer's chapel, disappeared last week while en route to Harrison Ohio. He reappeared in Shelbyville and Indianapolis and was found dead in Indianapolis with letters to Boggstown. Trunks yielded a New York daughter address. body held for orders.
