EWS scarce and far between. Noriha Connent visited with relatives at Stanford, Monroe county en route to their old home. Children’s meetings and temperance talks discussed. Part ers are planting corm. M Price and C H Brandon pass through town Tuesday en route to Bloomington for commence ment. The Eastham family will give an entertainment here on Saturday night June 27. Let everybody come. Such entertainments are productive of much good morally and socially. Wm Suggs is a skilled spoke turner and expert at grinding scissors having ground four pairs in one day. A Sunday school is organized with J B Vanmeter as superintendent and Kinsey Cullison as assistant superintendent. Town residents urged to contribute more. B F Rainbolt visiting his mother this week. Mrs S E Combs and Mrs J E Warren were visiting friends and relatives here last week.

Elijah Edington went to Bedford on business about his property. John Boriff of Bedford in town for building and loan business. Riley Manafield, U. S. detective of Robinson, in town last Saturday. A large tree in front of the McKinzie sisters’ home was struck by lightning. Fields the boy preacher held services at the Christian church. Wa Eliot was called to see his daughter who died near Indianapolis. she is buried nearby. The normal students’ exhibition pleased all. Owensburg normal term begins July 6 with large attendance. Two Mormon preachers in town seeking a place to preach. F M Price went to Bloomington to shake hands with the graduate. Tom Brannon and James Crane from Martin county visited. Frank Tiardesty in town this week. Chas Graham building a summer kitchen. Talk of Dr Williams and Carmichael combining stock. Everyone preparing for the dith. Heart disease is said to be curable with proper treatment. Mrs Elmira Hatch of Elkhart Indiana and Mrs Mary Baker of Ovoic Michigan were reportedly cured after years of suffering.
