Decoration Day Observed in Bloomfield with Veterans and Festivities
Bloomfield observed Decoration Day with a noon closing of shops and a church procession led by the band. Twenty one Civil War veterans in blue and one in gray joined Boy Scouts Camp Fire Girls and children bearing flowers. Automobiles carried veterans and widows to the cemetery while a program at the church included the Governor’s proclamation, Gettysburg Address, a memorial address by Jas. M. Hudson, and a male quartet.

Old Trouble Renewed Between Lyons Farmers
Isaac Hunter and John Rainbolt renewed an old feud on the Lyons to rural road. Hunter fired a revolver at Rainbolt with a bullet grazing Rainbolt’s hat. John Bogard intervened and persuaded them to stop before a fatal confrontation occurred.

Slate Fall Injures Miners at Valley Mine

Miss Mary Mitchell Recovers From Bridge Injury
Miss Mary Mitchell of Worthington has recovered enough to walk across a room after being severely hurt when knocked from an I W railway bridge by a motor car. She has spent most of the weeks since the accident confined to bed.

Camp Fire Ceremonial Meeting at Camp Choctaw
