Williams Anthis a 24 year old from Decker Indiana drowned Tuesday while bathing with two friends in White river. His body was recovered about five o'clock that evening.

Raids Target El liston Blind Tiger Runs Fourth Time
Sheriff Jack son with deputy John Baughman and town marshal Joshua Cook raided Elliston’s blind tiger on Wednesday afternoon. They seized three sacks of beer and arrested Thomas Chap man, who operated the establishment, sending him to Bloomfield jail. The site has been raided four times, with the suspect released previously and paroled twice by the judge upon prosecutor requests due to his crippled condition.

Friday President Wilson named J H Clark of Ohio as associate justice to fill the Hughes vacancy.
