Santa Claus to Tour Camp Zachary Taylor by Airplane
The 1917 Christmas Eve plan will have Santa Claus fly from the Courier-Journal building in Louisville to Camp Zachary Taylor in khaki, using a military airplane with a special runway and a pilot from the local aviation school. He will distribute gifts to soldiers with help from twenty one sons and two hundred Boy Scouts, watched by invited relatives and Christmas Cheer Club members.
