Tragedy Near Washington Ends in Double Death
Miss Daisy May Jones 26 was shot and throat cut by her brother in law James Perkins near Washington. Perkins soon killed himself with his throat cut. Witness Hazel Perkins 16 was ill in bed but retrieved the revolver and fled barefoot to a neighbor. Neighbors found Jones alive but with fatal wounds. Perkins’ body was found near the house. The Jones sisters were heirs to about 150000 dollars.

Blind Tiger Operator Pinched in Jasonville Case
George Morris, arrested for running a blind tiger at Antioch south of Jasonville, was sentenced to six months in the county jail and fined $500 by S. D. Dempsy, mayor and ex officio city judge. The mayor denied an appeal, and mandamus proceedings to compel an appeal bond were set for next Monday in circuit court.

Mrs. Morgan Injured in Auto Buggy Collision
Mrs. Wm Morgan of near Newberry was badly hurt when a car driven by a Bicknell woman struck the buggy she rode in with her daughter. The buggy left the road, three wheels were torn off, and the vehicle collided with a fence before Mrs Morgan suffered painful bruises.

Mrs. Gorman Dies After Lingering Illness in 1916
Mrs. Thomas B. Gorman died at her Bloomfield home on April 14 1916 after a five week illness. Born Scytha Josephine Ottinger February 2 1859 near Hot Springs North Carolina she married Thomas B Corman in 1878 and had seven children. Survived by husband two sons George and John and two daughters Viola and Rhea with sisters Mrs Lawson Mrs Fry and Mrs Trollinger. Funeral held at home Sunday at 3 PM conducted by Rev R W Fish with interment at Grandview Cemetery.

Child Dies in Indianapolis of Double Pneumonia
The three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Carmichael died at home from double pneumonia in Indianapolis. Remains were taken to grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Francis M. Carmichael. Funeral by Rev. Merritt Owen at the Carmichael residence, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial in Grandview Cemetery.

Tragedy in Farmersburg Ends in Double Fatal Shooting
In Farmersburg last Sunday Harry Dyer of Indianapolis shot and killed Miss Ferne Brummett. Mrs. Dyer died in Indianapolis and was buried at Worthington. Harry Dyer died Monday evening after shooting himself following the murder.

Linton Jewelry Store Robbed by a Fast-Paced Thief
A stranger entered H. D. Dale’s Linton jewelry shop on Monday, asked to see watches, chose a $25 gold watch and fled as Dale looked for an Elgin movement 17 jewel model. An accomplice in an alley may have driven away in a car. Police found no trace of the suspect.
