New Depart ure in Government Topics at Cleveland Session

The Cleveland W T U opened its season with a prayer by Mrs. Katharine Lento Blevenson. Minutes from executive committee meetings were read, detailing 4000 for national superintendents, a lecturer board, and a literature fund. A heated vote adopted the committee report and a broad resolutions lineup covered youth groups, Sabbath observance, prohibition, labor, and civil equality.

Minnesota Supreme Court Upholds Standard Policy

In St Paul on November 22 Chief Justice Guilliam issued five decisions. The most notable upheld the validity of the Minnesota Standard insurance policy under the 1849 law. Justice Unity dissented and Justice Collins suggested reargument, though he joined the majority on the presented case. The ruling interprets terms of the Minnesota standard policy and upholds it.
