Severe Kansas City tornado devastates Lathrop area

A deadly tornado struck Kansas City Missouri on May 11 around 11:20 am, ripping through Lathrop School area and nearby factory buildings. Dozens of children and workers were killed or wounded as debris collapsed walls and roofs, with search and hospital efforts ongoing.
