Northwestern National Bank of Aberdeen to Close Voluntarily

The Northwestern National Bank of Aberdeen will close its doors in a voluntary action by stockholders. It is the city’s third national bank and faced loans to underperforming borrowers during hard times. Train Wreck Near Viroqua Injures Several

Wreck reported on the Viroqua branch south of Westby with many injured. A Viroqua druggist M. A. Rawson is said to be seriously hurt. About twenty couples returning from a Masonic event were aboard. Wreck site is six miles from town. a special train with physicians was dispatched. Auditor William Ackerman cited receipts and expenditures for the Columbian exposition up to Jan 1.
