Four men involved, one named Dora Lago recently back from African prisons, was captured fleeing Jesua del Monte. Diaz family and neighbors panicked as the door and wall suffered major damage. Stockton Cal Feb 2 The wine growers face a serious proposition after 240000 gallons were sold by Anglo Caledf bank to the California Wine association at 8 cents for bulk wine and 9 cents for the rest including port About 10 000 gallons of port were included In the figures the 8 cent price allows only about 6 cents for new wines in country markets After detention costs the price for new wines drops to around 4 cents Many dealers have held back hoping for higher prices But with millions invested producers may be forced to cease operations if margins do not improve, says Charles A Wetmore.

Jurisdiction Is Settled Over Calville Reservation Case

United States District Judge Hanford ordered Anton Michel released on a writ of habeas corpus and handed to Stevens county sheriff. The Interior Department had claimed the north half of the Calville reservation was open to mineral entry but remained federally controlled. Judge Hanford ruled the land was not within federal domain, affirming state jurisdiction.
