At a Tuesday night meeting in Butte the union voted 36 to 75 to declare itself non political and to oppose an extra legislative session. A monster mass meeting on Monday night showed Butte residents strongly against an extra session by more than forty to one.
A proposed bill by Rep Doolittle and Sen Shoup would grant David B May Washington and associates the right to build operate and finance an electric railway through Yellowstone National Park. The plan includes a twenty foot wide right of way along the route power houses workshops and sidetracks and use of water power. steam locomotives would be prohibited. Two years to file location maps and ten years to complete the line with penalties if not finished.
