Three armed bandits robbed the First State bank at Arvada near Denver at noon and fled with 5906 in currency. A gun fight halted a second car theft. a bag with part of the loot was dropped. Shields River Rancher Sentenced to One to Two Years
John Van Dolah, former Shields Valley rancher, was sentenced to not less than one nor more than two years in the Deer Lodge penitentiary for second degree assault arising from a shooting at the Clyde Park area. He pleaded guilty and was taken to Deer Lodge. his wife survived the injuries.

Harold Ferguson 20 of Bozeman Montana is dead and Wallace Keown 19 of Bozeman is fatally injured after a roadster driven by Nelson Story son of Lieut. Gov. plummeted off a hill near Broadwater resort as four youths headed to a Helena dance. The party including Ray Ferguson and Nelson Story Jr. were hospitalized after the crash.

Algot Edlund Killed in Bozeman Hill Auto Crash
A Saturday afternoon crash on Bozeman hill west of Livingston killed Algot Edlund of Big Timber while riding with Emil Kling of Butte. Edlund, a novice driver, lost control on a steep grade and the car rolled 20 feet, trapping Edlund beneath the rear wheel. Kling survived. Edlund was an ex serviceman and had a 1919 marriage license to Flora Good of Laurel.

Ford Plan to Buy Muscle Shoals Upset by Government Sale
Washington, Sept. 24. Henry Ford saw his bid to acquire Muscle Shoals collapse as the government sold the Gorgas steam plant to Alabama Power for about 38.5 million dollars. The sale forces Ford to reconsider a revised offer to cover the remaining project. Danner Murder Case Set for Bozeman Trial in October
