The Japanese embassy reported 74 000 bodies cremated in Tokio by Sept 10 amid earthquake and fire casualties. Since Sept 4, 569 000 residents left the capital by train. Yokohama saw 68 000 destroyed houses of 93 000. Kanagawa casualties include 4 300 dead and 24 000 injured.

Big Timber Forms Boy Scouts Council

Montana Rates Cut by State Railroad Board
Helena Montana September 17 the Montana railroad commission cut rates on intrastate shipments using two or more rail lines by 10 to 15 percent.
