Local store advertises Union extra ingrain carpets at heavy quality and 75 cent equivalent pricing. Also lists women and children's hats on sale with prices at fifty cents.
Boy and men undergarments offered in all sizes with fleece underwear at 50 cents. Men's heavy fleece shirts and drawers also 50 cents. A new line of dress shirts just arrived, priced to attract buyers.
Our fall selection includes California made woolens guaranteed by Stockton woolen mills. Highlights feature a heavy all wool blue cheviot suit in a double breasted style. A swell suit offers quality and warmth for the season.
Local store advertises the largest and most complete shoe stock in town. It lists Friedman's Selz Henderson Gotzian and M. D. Wells shoes as the best made in the west and priced as low as cheap shoes.
An account of the Big Timber Ladies Fishing Club outing to the Leasby ranch on Boulder river includes fishing for trout, a shore lunch, and a seven pound trout weighed at tea. A party led by Dick Budd with Tom Prather Bird Vestal and Ernest Bartell returned from a ten day hunt at the head of Buffalo creek. They secured five bull elk and one deer. One elk dressed over 500 pounds and measured 49 inches between the tips. The group noted other parties found less luck and that big game is not as plentiful as in past seasons.
The Anaconda Standard composing room suffered a Monday night fire causing about 12000 dollars in damage. The blaze started by gasoline ignition in a type setting machine, with some equipment and paper stock ruined by water. Prompt fire department action limited the loss. the big perfecting press survived and repairs will take a few days.
