William Ellison son of John Ellison of the Boulder sustained a serious head injury when a stallion kicked him on the left temple after turning out the horse. He was unconscious for several hours but doctors reported a dent in the forehead with no immediate danger of fatal outcome.
Wilfred Clarke presents the three act musical comedy A Wise Woman at the opera house with strong company. Manager Busha notes the one night stand, limited city bookings, and expected audience draw. J W Wart of Melville was here before part of the week. Mrs J W Geiger returned from the east Monday morning. A heavy frost last night damaged gardens. A W Hoagland shipped two cars of horses to Brainard Minnesota Tuesday night. Mr and Mrs J A Post and Mrs O G Smart of Two Dot arrived Sunday for the illness of Mrs Keller sister of the ladies, which illness proved fatal.
