Last Rites for Paul Fetter Held at Springdale Church
Funeral services for Paul Fetter of Springdale who died in a baler accident were held Saturday at Big Timber Lutheran Church with Rev. Toliefson officiating. Interment followed at Mountain View. Fetter, born October 4, 1901, near Glen Allin, North Dakota, married Hilda Buchli in 1927 and lived in Montana since 1930. He is survived by his widow, two children Wallace and Jean, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

The couple plans a short honeymoon then residence in Big Timber before moving to Butte. McPherson works as a lineman for Pole Line Construction Co and Mrs McPherson is employed at the Gem cafe.

Roy H. Harper 42 died in Colorado Springs last Thursday. Funeral services were held there Tuesday with burial in the Colorado Springs cemetery. A Melville native and Sweet Grass county resident most of his life he had gone to Colorado with his family about two months ago. Survived by wife. three children. a sister Mrs Agnes Holland of Stock Calif. a sister Mrs Jennie Ostrum of Fees. a sister Mrs Catherine Lotts of Power Mont. a brother Lloyd Harper in the army.

Large Turnout for Football Team Gathers 33 Players
Coach Roy Snyder reports a record turnout of 33 football candidates this year with 18 returning veterans. Practice began Tuesday as uniforms will be issued after physicals. The schedule shows four home games and three away with home games at 2 30 p m on Fridays starting Sept 21 against Red Lodge and continuing through Nov 2 versus Billings Central.

Services Held For Mrs Nicholson Pioneer Settler Of Boulder
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Matilda Nicholson 89 widow of Henry Nicholson were held at St Mary's church Victoria B C on August 27. Interment followed in St Stephen's church yard. The Nicholson family moved from England in 1885 and lived along the West Boulder river before ranching near Toston and later at Big Timber then McLeod. Survivors include son Stuart Nicholson Sitka Alaska and daughters Marion Nicholson Seattle B B Edwards Tucson and L J Coulcher Victoria.

Auction Sale Highlights Successful 4 H FFA Fair
At the 4 H and FFA auction Saturday night at the fair grounds a baby beef owned by Gail Birkeland sold for 65 cents a pound to eet Motor Sales weighing about 800 pounds. The top lamb belonged to Melvin Peterson and went to Mackey Sheep Co for 60 dollars. Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsored the sale with C V Mosier and Dorman Kellogg as auctioneer and clerk.

One hundred sixteen people attended a Labor Day picnic at Lazy Day Lutheran Bible Camp to acquaint Billings circuit congregations with the newly acquired site.
