Range cattle volumes increased weekly in Chicago but remain below last year. Prices fell 10 to 20 cents on most range cattle with the top grade near steady. The market was slow and unsatisfactory with buyers seeking only the best lots, including a Lehfeldt shipment from Lavina Montana averaging 1493 pounds at 6.60 dollars. Hart Bros of Melville Montana sold another notable lot.
