Mrs Eva Johnson Sweet wife of J Russell Sweet San Francisco Junior college football coach was burned to death and her husband and three other men injured in an automobile collision near here tonight. Mrs. Harriet Goosey Dies Suddenly at Home

Three Miners Die in Premature Mine Explosion Near Philipsburg
In Philipsburg Montana three miners Carl Steber 33 James Mitchell 35 and Harry Murray 37 all residents of Philipsburg were killed when a dynamite charge exploded prematurely at the 800 foot level of the Algonkin gold mine two miles east of town. Steber and Murray died instantly Mitchell survived briefly before dying on the surface.
