Services Held For Lena Ann Clemons
Lena Ann Clemons 76 of Big Timber and the upper Boulder died October 4 at the Big Timber Rest Home from pulmonary edema. Funeral services were held at Lowry Chapel with Rev. William Tanner officiating. She was born May 19, 1885 in Gallatin Gateway and married Jesse Clemons in 1929. They lived in the Boulder area before moving to Big Timber in 1948. She is survived by two daughters, ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Former Residents Visit Dillon Family Over Weekend
Former residents visit Mr and Mrs Ben Slanger of Dillon at the home of Mrs Florence Utermohle over the weekend. Their eldest son George is a Naval officer in the Philippines and the younger son Bill is in Dillon High School. The five month old son of Mr and Mrs Donald Todd of Reed Point received medical care at Community Hospital and was sent home Tuesday.

Big Timber hosts over 125 players from Columbus Harlowton and Red Lodge for a four-school jamboree. Reserves play three 12 minute quarters against each other with varied defenses. Duane Hauge and Rich Paulson connect for a near payoff in the opening quarter as Harlowton and Red Lodge win their halves, and Big Timber edges Red Lodge in the final period.

Pheasant season unchanged from last year in Montana
Montana Fish and Game Commission keeps the pheasant season and bag limits the same as last year. A special Fort Peck range season and Kinsey area hen seasons run Oct 22 29 and Nov 5 12 with rules on hens and permits. Deer pheasant and turkey hunting overlap eight days with shotgun-only turkey permits required.
