Whole Family Lost as Train Strikes Auto in Delta Utah
An eight person family led by Orson Erickson perished when their car was struck by a Los Angeles Salt Lake train near Delta Utah. The vehicle crossed the tracks as the train, traveling about four miles per hour, approached. the driver apparently pressed the accelerator. The wreckage was carried along by the engine and the family, en route to Delta for Abner Johnson's funeral, died in the incident.
