Anti Franchise Mass Meeting Nominates Mayoral and Alderman Candidates
Citizens opposed to public utility franchises held at the court house to nominate a mayoral candidate and two aldermen per ward. Kellogg chaired the meeting with Movare secretary as 31 votes were cast. Kellogg won the mayoral nomination after four ballots. Ward nominees were Solberg and Shanks in ward one, Hateh and Nicholson in ward two, with a central committee appointed to fill vacancies.
