Funeral Held For Charlotte Evelyn Rees In This City
Funeral services were held at the family home yesterday for Charlotte Evelyn Rees who died Friday of pneumonia at age 41. Rev. C. E. Tate officiated. pallbearers were Elmer Larson, B. F. Henry, Dick Armstrong, F. M. Lamp, Cal Kepler and Alva Lamb. Burial followed at Mountain View beside her father. Deceased, born in Freeseburg Ohio April 17 1902, moved to Sweet Grass county in 1909, was educated locally and taught in rural schools before later attending the state normal at Dillon. She had been named princess in the Queen of Montana contest at the state fair. She leaves her mother, a sister Emmett J. Deegan, five brothers including John Alva and Robert Rees of Washington DC, William Rees of Bozeman and Yale and Wayne Rees of this city.

Gus Dutch Gus Marquette a pioneer in the region died suddenly at the O A Myers home in Grey Cliff on Sunday morning. Funeral services were held at the Bridger creek school house with Rev A Roukema of Reed Point officiating and burial at the Kent family plot at Bridger mouth. He was born January 16 1855 in Brandenburg Germany came to America in 1870 and to Tom Kent ranch in 1872. He left about 1900 dollars in cash notes and securities and had no known relatives in the United States.
