The first state farmers institute meeting in this area drew light attendance due to bad roads but featured solid papers from Miss Harkins on the farmer's daughter and lectures by Prof. Fisher on fruit trees and Prof. Linfield on livestock feeding and profits in hogs and chickens. Two Insanity Cases Review by County Board
The county board of commissioners with Drs McKay and Moore examined Ed Wagner and a second unnamed man deemed insane. Wagner believes he is a woman and had threatened to seize haystacks after pay disputes on Louis Nash ranch. Both men were ordered committed to the asylum and taken to Warm Springs by Sheriff Fallang and Commissioner Irvine.

Doctor and horse escape serious injury in street accident
Dr J G McKay and his saddle horse narrowly avoided disaster on McLeod street when the horse broke through an old board cover over a ditch. The horse had a complete somersault but suffered only minor scratches while the doctor sustained a badly bruised knee and will use a cane. Budd 100 pounds stock food offer appears at the end.
