Youth who ran over Dorothy Siemsen given sixty days
John LaPoint pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Dorothy Siemsen, age 17, in an automobile crash near Mossiman. He received a suspended one year sentence with 60 days in county jail, after the charge was amended from manslaughter to involuntary manslaughter with consent of the county attorney.

LOS ANGELES May 83 Four years ago Friday the first serial passenger service in the United States opened with one plane from Los Angeles to Salt Lake and a second the opposite run. Western Air Express operated the flights which began as mail transport and grew into a major airline with seven planes and many employees. In four months of 1924 air travelers reached 8 246 on a 6406 mile system.
