State College Student Guilty Of Burglary
Joe Wallace a 22 year old Montana State College chemistry student pleaded guilty to first degree burglary in Bozeman district court for the T M Perrin jewelry shop theft. He faces sentencing next Tuesday and admitted to seven other burglaries one robbery and an attempted burglary in Bozeman since the school year began. Police uncovered stolen roses vases jewelry and chemistry department store items during a room search tied to the case.

Autoists Barred In Park Until June 1
Yellowstone Park in Wyoming bars all automobile traffic on park roads until June 1. Hotels lodges and transport facilities stay closed until June 20. Rescue work at the Mather mine in Mather Pennsylvania paused as ventilation began ahead of an official inquiry by state and national mine inspectors. Of 273 workers, 164 confirmed dead, 74 escaped, 34 missing, with 62 others reportedly escaped by assistant foreman William Eden and his sons.

Socialist Candidate Drowns While Saving Boy at Bend Ore
Prank Johns, socialist labor presidential candidate and Portland carpenter, drowned in the Des Chutes river while trying to rescue Jackie Rhodes, a ten year old who had fallen in.
