A ground party led by Ranger C V Rubottom retrieved victims from a C 54 crash site in the Crazy mountains about 58 miles northeast of Livingston. The May 5 wreck near Lebo peak killed all aboard. one sergeant, Frank Avry, survived after bailing out.

The Stole Hereford ranch of 3 420 acres along Little Timber creek sold to W E Dorr of Miles City. The sale included equipment and milk cows but not range cattle. Mrs Effie T Stole and her sons Henry R Paul E and Donal E ran the ranch since 1932 and bought it in 1917. The family plans are indefinite. Mrs Stole wishes to visit daughter Irene in Los Angeles but strikes disrupt travel.
