Fatal accident claims Fireman on No 57 near Merrill stockyards
George Voaklander a fireman on No 57 a local freight was killed at the Merrill stockyards thirty three miles east of the city. He leaned from the gangway as the engine passed the gate struck him knocked him down and the train dragged him under. The jury found death from being drawn by the gate and run over. Voaklander lived in Livingston Montana and was about 25. His mother resides in Geneva Nebraska.
