Montana game and fish rules differentiate fishing from other hunting with no license for fishing with a hook and line. Open season Sept 1 to Dec 1 for most game, deer Sept to Dec 15, and unlimited catch for some waterfowl. various prohibitions, license requirements, and shipping permits are outlined along with nontransferable licenses and mandatory possession.
The high school schedules Thursday evening performances of The Merchant of Venice while teachers report exams in chemistry physics geometry and English. Juniors finish Milton and Lycidas as Cicero class exam looms, and student officers are elected led by Stuart Nicholson president Bessie Reich secretary Pearl Long treasurer.

The service for Henry M. Lamb from Mee Leod street was held Sunday at 2:00 pm with M W A participation and a Laurel clergyman’s tribute. Burial followed at Mountain View cemetery as a large crowd gathered. Lamb, born 1865 in Iowa, built a life in Montana as a cattleman, stage operator, and promoter of local racing and fair associations, leaving a widow and four children. He was active in Republican circles and affiliated with Modern Woodmen of America and the Eagle lodges. He is survived by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers with one daughter previously deceased.
In pursuance of an April 1 1907 election the mayor and town council of Big Timber Montana authorize a 1000000bond issue to fund a water works system. On June 3 1907 at 9 pm at A G Hatch's office the bonds will be sold to highest bidder in 1000 denominations. Bonds dated July 1 1907 carry 6 percent interest payable semi annually and mature in 20 years with redemption after 10 years. A 750 cash deposit is required for winning bidder. council may reject all bids.
The King of Tramps a four act vaudeville headlined by Victor Faust and Alfred Bridge comes to the Auditorium Friday May 10. The show features new acts lavish scenery costumes and top talents with praise for its Western tour success. Also 200 head Hereford and Shorthorn stock cattle for sale priced at 322.50 and 41 ducks offered with expected feed.
