Engineer Killed In Helena Shooting
Helena reports engineer August A Zoeller about 60, of the Northern Pacific railway, killed this afternoon when a gunman drew a weapon in a local bar-restaurant card room. Joe Guffy, an employee, was wounded in the arm. the assailant fled, and police later detained a suspect for questioning.

Montana wildlife employees trapped and moved 283 whitetail and mule deer this winter to repopulate extinct areas and relieve overpopulated regions. The largest catch on record for the division included 84 whitetail north of Kalispell with 21 moved to Stillwater river and 63 to East Rosebud river. Blacktails were trapped mainly on the east slope of the Crazy mountains near Melville with multiple transfers to Wolf mountains, Cabin creek, Fox creek, and nearby regions, while the national bison range near Molese supplied 45 does and 55 bucks moved to the Bull mountains between Roundup and Billings.

Buffalo Trapped In Ice Of Yellowstone Fatal Ice Walk
