Ottawa Ill March 17 Hiram Reed received another setback when Judge Frank Hayes denied his motion for a new trial and sentenced him to one to 20 years in prison. Se Copel to the state supreme court was granted for preparation, and a $85,000 to $97,500 increase in Reed's seat were noted. Attorneys for Miss Bradford filed a $325,000 suit today. Reed admits he is the father of her unborn child and in a signed confession said he put dynamite in the stove to avoid marriage. Reed's mother cried as sentence was pronounced.
