Veterans Affairs offices remain open in Montana
The VA plans to close some contact offices statewide though the district office at the same location continues to operate. Pythian Sisters Elect New Degree Staff Leader
Pythian Sisters of Zenobia temple No 5 held an initiation service at Fraternity hall last Thursday night for one candidate. Lela Viers was elected captain of the degree staff replacing Mary Bryan who had been temporary captain. A delicious lunch was served by Sisters Ellen Roe Laurel Crest and Mary Bryan. Table decorations featured a St Patrick is motif with green shamrocks.

JayCees Agree to Pool Cooperation and Youth Activities
The JayCees voted unanimously to cooperate on a community swimming pool project and to sponsor a spring marble tournament with travel expenses to the state tournament in Great Falls on May 8. Advancement Work Discussed by Scouts Troop 21 Moon
The Moon city Troop 21 meeting focused on advancement in the Scout ladder with a three week contest for the first overnight outing. Panther patrol led early with Beavers and Flaming Arrows tied for second as Orvin Flare invited the group to the Red and Gun club banquet. Next Monday an outing with a mulligan is planned.

Deer Creek Aid Meets With Devotionals and Solos

Services Held For Lee Warren
Funeral services for 83 year old Lee Warren of Livingston were held Monday at the Fran zen chapel with Rev. A W Seebart and Masonic rites. Burial will be in Billings Commun ity mausoleum. Warren, born July 18 1864 in Old Lyme Connecticut, lived in Saybrook Bloomington Ill and Chicago before moving to Montana. He owned a drug store in Billings from 1906 and later worked with Scheuber Drug Co in Livingston before retiring to a ranch near Big Timber. He is survived by a daughter, two sons, two sisters, a nephew, two nieces and several grandchildren.
