A noon accident at the Jonas Maitland ranch two miles north of Big Timber injures Johnny Boe while using a power circular saw. A log jammed causing the saw to break free striking his head, knocking out a left eye and exposing brain. He is under care at the local hospital with Dr. Townsend assisting Dr. Baskett. prospects are poor. The victim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Boe and widely loved in the county.

Two Confess Robbery At Roundup Montana
A postal worker and a laborer confessed stealing a mail pouch with $9000 from the Milwaukee rail station in Roundup on Monday night. E J Richardson and Robert Fanning admitted taking the pouch after finding a key to the baggage room. The money was sent to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and neither it nor the pouch has been recovered. Richardson pleaded not guilty at arraignment with $15000 bond set.

Gunder Gjerde, Noted Sheepman, Dies in Livingston
Gunder Gjerde a well known sheepman died in a Livingston hospital Thursday evening after a major operation Tuesday. Funeral services were held Sunday in Livingston with burial in the Gjerde plot. He was born in Erie Norway and would have been 53 this May 20. He came to the United States at 21, worked for several ranchers, ran Story & Work on Mission creek, then Ringling sheep at White Sulphur Springs, and later bought Sheep Mountain ranch with his brother John, operating it until his death. He married Christine Haugen in 1917 and leaves a son Marvin age 16 and a widow, plus two brothers John and others.
