Clyde Park beat Big Timber 14–2 as Tim Pfahler and John VanDaveer limited hits. Rich Paulson had four hits in a 7–3 Clyde Park win at home. The Big Timber Rifle club will run a hunter safety instruction course July 5 6 7 8 at 830 p m supervised by Robert Groom and Rev Helmuth Fichtler. Ages 12 18 must attend all four sessions and keep certificates until age 18. Mrs. Hanna Brumfield Dies in Reed Point Area
Mrs. Hanna Brumfield 80 died Saturday night at a Columbus nursing home. Born in Chicago December 22, 1879 she moved to Helena about 1915 then to Reed Point after retirement in 1944. She is survived by two brothers and two nieces. Funeral services were held at the Reed Point EUB Church with burial in Reed Point cemetery.

Red Cross Chapter Holds Annual Meeting At Library
The Red Cross chapter in Montana held its annual meeting at the library on a Wednesday evening. Royal Neighbors of America held a district convention at the Elks hall in Red Lodge on June 21 with camps from Billings Big Timber Bozeman Bridger Emigrant Livingston and Laurel. Mrs Orvie Stover Havre state supervisor and Mrs H H Tunnicliff Bil lings with Mrs D A Rhyner Columbus district deputies attended as special guests. Twenty two members from Big Timber attended as district delegate along with district officers and a turkey banquet concluded the day. A school of instruction was led by Mrs Stover and seven new members were initiated during the evening session.
