Bird Ammerman Dies in Arizona at 59
Bird Ammerman 59 uncle of Harry and Earl Ammerman of Livingston died Monday in Phoenix Arizona after a short illness. Born April 3 1887 in West Lima Wisconsin he came to Montana in 1911 settled in Sweet Grass County. He served in World War I with the 91st Division 362nd Infantry and saw action in multiple campaigns. Survivors include a sister Lina Marshall Wisconsin and a brother Leo Ammerman along with several nieces and nephews.

College scholarships go to first and second in the national event and the high scorer from each state wins a championship belt.

Seven Ball Players Die In Bus Crash
A chartered bus carrying most of the Spokane team slid off Snoqualmie Pass in rain, killing seven professional baseball players and injuring seven others and the driver.
