The two day event at Big Timber drew 44 entries with 32 doubles and 40 singles. Ed Holmberg and Nat Clark won class A doubles while Morris Wold captured Sunday class A singles. Local teams shone with multiple placings as prizes honored ringers, longest streaks, and youngest or farthest travelers. Weather cooperated as rain stayed away until late in the final shoe.

Roping Meet Set For Sunday At Big Timber Fairgrounds
An NRA approved roping meet will be held Sunday afternoon at the fair grounds starting 1 p m under the Big Timber Ropin n Ridin club. There is no admission charge. Events include Team tying with a 25 purse and 20 entry per team plus 5 stock. Calf roping with 10 purse and 10 entry plus 2 50 stock. Barrel racing with 10 purse and 10 entry. Beer and pop will be sold. George Myers president said two more similar events may be staged this summer.

Official figures show January 1 to June 24 rainfall this year at 8.71 inches against 8.91 inches last year. A dryish month gave way to hot weather with highs near 90 and a near inch of rain in the past week. Rain months included 0.40 inches on the 17th and 0.29 on the 22nd.
Services Held for Mrs Bina Hauge
Funeral services for Mrs. Bina Hauge were held at the Big Timber Lutheran Church with Rev. Ocee Johnson officiating. Pallbearers included Harold Boe and Don Tetlie, and interment was at Mountain View. She is survived by three daughters, six sons, 17 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, with several out of town attendees listed.
